All'età di 98 anni, Maurine Kornfeld alias "Mighty Mo" si trova al culmine della sua carriera agonistica iniziata quando di anni ne aveva 65 . H a vinto 14 medaglie d'oro mondiali, stabilito 28 record mondiali ed è stata recentemente inserita nella International Master Swimming Hall of Fame. Questa "esperta" nuotatrice nuota quattro volte alla settimana presso il centro acquatico "Rose Bowl" di Pasadena in California ed è stata capace di adeguarsi all'evoluzione tecnica del nuoto con tanto di track start e streamline, come documentato nel servizio dell'emittente televisiva CBS.
