Il 41enne ingegnere tedesco Constantin Depmeyer, per due anni allenatore della nazionale giovanile in acque libere , subentra al tecnico Stefan Lurz (44) nel ruolo di allenatore della nazionale in acque libere maggiore, Lurz ha dato le dimissioni ad inizio dello scorso anno (2021) a causa di alcune sgradevoli accuse di molestie sessuali ai danni di due nuotatori minorenni, i fatti risalirebbero al periodo 2011-2012, il caso è in mano al tribunale distrettuale di Würzburg.
