James Nachtwey , classe 1948, è uno tra i più importanti fotogiornalisti di guerra contemporanea.Nelle sue fotografie possiamo trovare immagini di guerra, conflitti e sconvolgimenti sociali. Argomento della foto, protagonista della puntata, è la documentazione della guerra civile in Ruanda. I fotoreporter, immortalati nella sua opera, sembrano voler fermare il tempo con le loro fotocamere che usano come scudi per proteggersi dai proiettili.
Bloccare il momento: è quello che Andrea Staccioli è riuscito a fare in una foto in cui immortala la nuotatrice Ilaria Cusinato in un momento pre-gara.
Fermare istanti singoli, non sequenze, è quello che si propone di fare chi scatta una foto.
