Nella terza giornata dei Campionati nazionali, in svolgimento a Otopeni, David Popovici vince agevolmente i 400 stile libero coprendo la distanza in 3.51.18 (1.53.43) e nuota in frazione interna della 4x100 stile libero 47.55 (22.77). Nelle ultime due giornate di gare sarà al via nei 100 stile libero e nei 100 farfalla.

Conclusa la prima giornata dei Campionati Nazionali di Romania in corso di svolgimento a Otopeni presso il campo gara dell'Europeo Juniores dello scorso anno. David Popovici ha nuotato 22.62 nei 50 stile libero e 54.74 nei 100 dorso, il primatista del mondo gareggerà anche nei 100 e 400 stile libero e nei 50 e 100 farfalla.
