Netanya, Israele, ospiterà i Campionati mondiali juniores dal 4 al 9 settembre 2023. La competizione si svolgerà in sei giornate di gare presso il Wingate Institute e vedrà in gara oltre 600 nuotatori provenienti da più di 100 federazioni nazionali.

Questo è la prima volta che l'evento si svolge in Israele e la nuotatrice di casa Anastasia Gorbenko si è detta felice di vedere il suo paese ospitare questo importante evento.

La precedente edizione dei Campionati mondiali di nuoto junior si è tenuta a Lima, in Perù, nel 2022, a fondo pagina la sintesi della scorsa edizione.
L'evento ha cambiato denominazione passando da FINA World Junior Swimming Championships a World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships.
I mondiali juniores si sono tenuti per la prima volta nel 2006 a Rio de Janeiro (BRA). Le edizioni successive dell'evento biennale sono seguite a Monterrey (MEX) nel 2008; Lima (PER) nel 2011; Dubai (EAU) nel 2013; Singapore (SGP) nel 2015; Indianapolis (USA) nel 2017; Budapest (HUN) nel 2019 e Lima (PER) nel 2022.
