A partire dal 7 marzo il Giappone riaprirà le frontiere agli atleti stranieri, attualmente non ammessi a causa delle restrizioni agli spostamenti determinate dalla pandemia di Covid-19.
Per recarsi in Giappone sarà comunque necessario richiedere un visto speciale e sottoporsi a quarantena per quindici giorni subito dopo l'arrivo. Gli spostamenti saranno consentiti esclusivamente per finalità legate all'evento sportivo e sarà comunque proibito l'uso dei mezzi pubblici.
