La federnuoto del Giappone ha ufficializzato nuovamente il team per i Campionati del mondo di Doha in programma dal 2 al 18 febbraio, in un primo tempo i criteri di selezione, avvenuta nel corso dei Japan Open 2023 svolti presso il Tokyo Aquatic Center dal 29 novembre al 3 dicembre, prevedevano un massimo 12 atleti, il numero è poi stato rivisto il 25 dicembre a 18 nuotatori.
