Le federnuoto sudafricana (SSA) ha ufficializzato il Team che prenderà parte ai Campionati del Mondo di Fukuoka in programma dal dal 14 luglio al 30 luglio, la squadra sarà composta da 19 atleti; 10 donne e 8 uomini, fra loro lo sprinter 42enne tre volte medaglia olimpica, Roland Schoeman , che torna a Fukuoka ventidue anni dopo aver vinto il bronzo nei 50 stile libero (22.18). Oltre a Schoeman la squadra sudafricana annovera altri atleti vincitori di medaglie internazionali di rilievo; Chad Le Clos, Tatjana Schoenmaker, Lara van Niekerk, Matthew Sates e Pieter Coetze.
