La federnuoto cinese ha ufficializzato il team per i Campionati del Mondo di Doha.
Per il nuoto fra le corsie sono stati convocati 21 atleti (13 donne e 8 uomini) per le acque libere 4 atleti (2 donne e due uomini) sarà al via in Qatar la compionessa olimpica Li Bingjie (21), mentre non faranno parte della squadra i campioni del mondo Zhang Yufei (25) e Qin Haiyang (24), questi due atleti di punta della nazionale cinese più forte di sempre, nella scorsa stagione hanno gareggiato senza pause a Mondiali, Universiadi, Asian Games e Coppa del mondo.
Le prove di selezione olimpica della Cina sono in programma dal 19 al 27 aprile a Shenzhen, data che esclude la possibilità di partecipazione di Sun Yang la cui squalifica terminerà nel maggio 2024 rendendolo dunque ineleggibile per i Giochi di Parigi.
