Dal 1° giugno, Bernd Berkhahn, capo allenatore del rinomato gruppo di Magdeburgo — probabilmente il team più forte al mondo nel mezzofondo grazie ad atleti come Lukas Märtens, Florian Wellbrock, Isabelle Gose, Oliver Klemet e Sven Schwarz — assumerà anche l'incarico di responsabile tecnico della nazionale tedesca di nuoto in acque libere, mantenendo al contempo il ruolo federale per le distanze medio-lunghe in vasca.

Unendo la mia responsabilità sulla ‘lunga distanza’ in vasca e sul fondo d'élite, risponderemo strutturalmente e tecnicamente."
La scorsa settimana la federnuoto tedesca (DSV) ha nominato il dott. Karsten Görsdorf (46) nuovo capo allenatore della nazionale di nuoto affidandogli il compito di guidare il progetto di rilancio dell’intero movimento natatorio tedesco.
