USA Swimming continua la sua campagna di sensibilizzazione culturale sulla diversità, l'equità e l'inclusione nel mondo del nuoto, in occasione dell'Indigenous People Day* ha pubblicato un interessante documento dedicato ai nativi americani* e la loro inclusione nello sport del nuoto.
* Con l'espressione nativi americani si intendono le popolazioni che abitavano il continente americano prima della colonizzazione europea e i loro odierni discendenti.
* La Giornata dei popoli indigeni è una festa che celebra e onora i popoli nativi americani e commemora le loro storie e culture. Si celebra negli Stati Uniti il secondo lunedì di ottobre.
