La 56enne nuotatrice russa Svetlana Varganova , argento olimpico nei 200 rana ai Giochi di Mosca 1980, primatista e campionessa del mondo nel 1982 in Ecuador, è stata arrestata insieme ad altre due persone a Goa in India per un presunto coinvolgimento in un traffico di droga, questo quanto riporta il The Indian Express . L'ex nuotatrice è stata anche tecnico presso un club di Leningrado.
