L’Aquatics Integrity Unit (AQIU) conferma che il nuotatore tunisino Ahmed Ayoub Hafnaoui ha accettato una sospensione di 21 mesi, valida dall’11 aprile 2024 fino al 10 gennaio 2026, per una violazione del Regolamento Antidoping di World Aquatics.
Hafnaoui, medaglia d’oro alle Olimpiadi di Tokyo nei 400 stile libero, è stato sospeso in seguito a tre violazioni delle norma sulla reperibilità per i controlli antidoping (*Articolo 2.4 - World Aquatics Doping Control Rules), verificatesi nell’arco di 12 mesi, e ha accettato la relativa sanzione. Tutti i risultati ottenuti a partire dall’11 aprile 2024 sono stati annullati.
