Lunedì 7 ottobre presso Veronafiere prima riunione plenaria del Comitato di indirizzo delle Olimpiadi 2026: attesi il ministro dello sport Vincenzo Spadafora (nella foto mentre premia al Sette Colli) , il presidente del CONI Giovanni Malagò, il sindaco di Milano Giuseppe Sala, i presidenti delle regioni Lombardia e Veneto Attilio Fontana e Luca Zaia. All'ordine del giorno la scelta del Chief executive officer (CEO) dei Giochi.
Sebbene non impegnino direttamente gli sport natatori, le Olimpiadi avranno ricadute importanti sull'impiantistica e sulle infrastrutture del territorio, in particolare potrebbero rappresentare l'occasione buona per la realizzazione dello stadio del nuoto che la città di Milano attende da tempo immemore.
